TV and cinema actor Tayfun Sav, known for his character 'Mithat' in the TV series 'Valley of the Wolves', Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Specialist Op. Dr. Türker Karabuğa and his team performed a successful surgery and regained his health. Sav said, "This surgery is a rebirth for me."
Giving information about the operation process of Tayfun Sav, who was 64 years old, 127 kg and body mass index 41, Op. Dr. Türker Karabuğa said, "Tayfun Bey reached me through Tevfik İnceoğlu, a former patient of mine. Our patient also had comorbidities such as high blood pressure, diabetes and sleep apnoea.
We hosted him in the hospital after surgical planning. We performed the necessary examinations before the surgery. We prepared a special diet programme for him in preparation for the surgery and performed sleeve gastrectomy surgery. It was a very successful surgery.
The day after the operation, he can walk around the hospital as if he had never been operated. The weight loss process will continue until our patient reaches the ideal weight."
Rebirth
Tayfun Sav, who called obesity surgery as a rebirth, said the following: "I had an unfortunate accident on stage in 2006. As a result of this accident, I fell and broke 3 bones. I had a treatment process lasting 1.5 years.
In this process, I encountered diabetes and blood pressure diseases. Overweight and diseases affected my art life, my body and my life extremely negatively. I decided to have an operation.

Who is Tayfun Sav?
Tayfun Sav, who comes from a family of Caucasian origin, was born in Ankara in 1959. He started his career as a ballet dancer at Ankara State Opera and Ballet.
He also danced in the Grand Cabaret Ajda Pekkan show. He met the white screen with the character of 'Doctor' in the cinema film Elveda Dostum. Sav has starred in many cinema films and series since 1982. Tayfun Sav, who starred in series such as Valley of the Wolves, Kavak Yelleri, Hanım'ın Çiftliği, is married and has two children.
