Another question is when can I return to work after obesity surgery? After obesity surgeries, especially after sleeve gastrectomy surgery, a two-day hospitalisation period is spent. After other bypass surgeries, discharge is planned after four days of hospitalisation. A special diet programme is given to our patients after discharge.  Following a rest period of five days to a week at home, there is no harm for those who have desk jobs to start working. However, our patients who work in heavy jobs with physical labour may need to start working after a rest period of about twenty days to one month at home. Since almost all of such operations are performed with laparoscopic surgery, return to work is extremely fast.
