Hello everyone. The subject I want to talk to you about today is dumping syndrome. In fact, dumping syndrome is a word that has become a bit popular today. Although it was described in 1922, Seren Serengil made her name very popular with Seren Serengil. Dumping syndrome is a rare condition after bypass surgeries in obesity treatment. There are two types; early dumping and late dumping. The main effect of dumping is that as a result of the rapid passage of food from the stomach to the small intestine, these excessive carbohydrate-containing foods cause complaints of low blood pressure, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, dizziness and fainting in the early dumping period due to excessive fluid withdrawal from the stomach. Late dumping, on the other hand, is the excessive release of insulin due to serious stimulation of the pancreas as a result of excessive amount of carbohydrate passing into the small intestine and hypoglycaemia due to excessive insulin release, i.e. complaints due to low blood sugar. This is also due to low blood sugar. It causes sweating, palpitations, dizziness and complaints that may lead to fainting. Early dumping is usually seen within about ten to thirty minutes after food intake. Late dumping occurs within one to three hours. In both cases, as an emergency intervention, it is recommended that the patient immediately lie down quickly, raise his feet upwards and rest a little. As for the treatment, the most important treatment step in the treatment of dumping syndrome is definitely diet. A solution is usually found with diet. In severe cases of dumping syndrome that do not respond to diet, surgical interventions can be performed.
